Wait Times for Service
All applicants are informed of the admission decision within 10 days of presentation at the E3 Admissions Committee. Applicants may be put on a needs list and wait times for placement may vary depending on the specific support required and the staff resources available.
A needs list is prioritized on the basis of applicant and family pressures related to health, behaviours and other family circumstances. The following scenarios are typically give high placement priority:
- child with a developmental disability coupled with complex medical needs
- children whose family needs time to focus on the family dynamics with their other children and the relationships of the adults in the family
- child with Autism Spectrum and behavioural problems coupled with a developmental disability
Due to the complexity and variability of family circumstances, placement priorities are determined on a case-by-case basis.
