Casual Out of Home Respite Provider – Child and Youth

Salary Range: $16.74 - $18.70 per hour

Current Opportunity:

Respite care staff provide support in a stimulating environment to children/youth with multiple special needs during a planned out of home respite care stay. Staff plan, prepare and implement activities that are appropriate, safe and entertaining both within the program space and community. Documentation and administration of medication is required.

This position normally runs every other weekend with an exception in the summer offering some week days.

Educational Requirements:

  • Post secondary education in a related field; ECE would be an asset
  • Keen interest in working with children and youth with disabilities
  • Current Standard First Aid/CPR certificate
  •  NVCI certificate or willingness to obtain
  • French language proficiency would be an asset
