The Community Support Worker supports individuals as outlined through the Support Plan process and through discussions at team meetings. Provides direct care as required and assists with program planning and implementation. Promotes independence and utilizes community resources to facilitate integration into the community to the client’s full potential. Will act as a liaison between internal and external contacts; promotes positive family contact and represents the Agency favourably. Works with team members in the best interest of the clients. This position will work 32 hours per week and is covering a maternity leave.
Schedule is from Tuesday to Friday for 32 hours with flexibility for evening and weekend hours.
- Human Services Diploma (DSW, SSW, CYW) or equivalent
- Current First Aid/CPR certificate
- Current NCI certificate
- Proficiency in the French language an asset
Assets/Special Factors of the Position:
- Driver’s license and access to own car
