We are looking for a passionate Direct Support Professional to assist individuals with developmental disabilities to find a satisfying and purposeful place in their community. In this role, you will provide supervision and support, as needed, in order to foster community inclusion, assist with activities of daily living, promote the implementation of person-centred (directed) plans, and assist with aspects of personal care. You will be responsible for planning and running our RISE activities as well as community based, in house activities.
Full time position in our Resource Centre available NOW!
Schedules for this position include a rotation of days, evenings and alternating weekends. You will work 40 hours per week.
Shifts will include statutory holidays as needed.
Are you who we are looking for?
Ideal candidates have a keen interest in working with developmentally disabled individuals combined with education and experience in Developmental Services or a related field. A Human Service Diploma (DSW, SSW) or equivalent is a preferred qualification, as are First Aid/CPR and Non-Violent Crisis Intervention certifications, a valid Ontario Driver’s License and reliable transportation. French language proficiency (speaking and reading) would be an asset.
