The successful candidate will be responsible for:
The truck Driver/Repairman is primarily responsible for driving the ReUse Centre truck, shipping and receiving and maintaining a well organized and safe warehouse environment. He/she will track vehicle maintenance, complete minor repairs to furniture and small appliances and move furniture in the store and warehouse and off premises. Daily tasks may also include pricing of donated items, assisting customers and donors, and retail cash duties. This position is for less than 30 hours per week, but additional shifts, including weekends, may be offered as required.
- Minimum grade 12 Secondary School diploma
- Minimum 6 months in the hauling/transportation field
- Valid Driver’s License and a clean driving record
- Experience with electrical, mechanical and carpentry skills
- Training in proper lifting techniques
- French language proficiency would be an asset
Assets/Special Factors of the Position:
This position offers a variety of responsibilities and challenges which may include working with people of various capabilities, and on the spot decision making. The Truck Driver/Repairman will have the opportunity to positively represent E3 and the ReUse Centre when he/she interacts with staff, volunteers, customers and donors in the Georgian Triangle area.
