The successful candidate will be responsible for:

The Retail Clerk (Part Time) is primarily responsible for setting up displays, stocking shelves, pricing, cleaning and sorting donated items as well as performing cashier and customer service duties. The Retail Clerk also assists other staff to move furniture in the store and warehouse, and maintains a clean and orderly sales floor by sweeping, cleaning and editing merchandise throughout the day. The Retail Clerk is expected to follow all COVID 19 policies to ensure the health and well being of fellow staff members, customers and donors. This position is for 8 hours of work every second Saturday and is ideal for a student. Additional shifts may be offered as required.

  •  Grade 12 Secondary School Diploma
  • Reliable transportation to and from work
  • Training in proper lifting techniques
  • WHMIS training
  • Some knowledge of antiques and collectibles would be an asset
  • French language proficiency would be an asset

Assets/Special Factors of the Position:

This position offers a variety of responsibilities and challenges which may include working with people of various capabilities, and on the spot decision making. The Retail Clerk will have the opportunity to positively represent E3 and the ReUse Centre when he/she interacts with staff, volunteers, customers and donors in the Georgian Triangle area.
