The Respite Worker is responsible for providing direct support to children and youth with special needs by providing care and supervision as dictated by their wants and needs. The staff is responsible for planning and implementing activities on and off site, meal preparation, clean up and the completion of required documentation. This relief position usually works weekends and includes up to 12 hour day or awake night shifts. This would include up to 22 weekends throughout the year.
- Post secondary education in a related discipline
- Current First Aid/CPR and NCI certificates
Assets/Special Factors of the Position:
- Proficiency in the French language would be an asset
