Provides supervision and support to residents living in a group home setting with all aspects of daily living including personal care, domestic skills, home maintenance, money management, use of community businesses and resources, recreation, medical, medications and safety. Assists with the maintenance of the work site. Keeps up to date with agency information, policies and guidelines. Practices fiscal responsibility to residents and agency. Maintains accurate client and agency records; follows reporting procedures and assumes other administrative duties. Promotes safety and well being of self and others. Acts as a liaison between internal and external contacts. Maintains professionalism in all aspects of duties. Maintains current standing in required courses. This Relief position will provide support to various locations during times when staff are on vacation, sick or otherwise unavailable.
- DSW or equivalent
- First Aid/CPR certificate
- NCI certificate
- Criminal Reference Check with vulnerable sector check
Assets/Special Features of the Position:
- Driver’s license with a clean driver’s abstract
- Proficiency in the french language would be an asset
