Provides supervision and support to residents living in a group home setting in all aspects of daily living including personal care, domestic skills, home maintenance, money management, use of community businesses and resources, recreation, medical, medications and safety. Participates in the planning process for residents and assists in development of strategies to achieve the plan. Assists with the maintenance of the work site. Keeps up to date on agency information, policies and guidelines. Practices fiscal responsibility to residents and agency. Maintains accurate client and agency records, follows reporting procedures, and assumes other administrative duties. Promotes safety and well being of self and others. Acts as a liaison between internal and external contacts. Maintains professionalism in all aspects of duties. Maintains current standing in required courses.
The successful candidate will work approximately 20 hours per week. This position is temporary.Two weeks notice will be given before the end of the contract.
The work schedule will include days, evenings and weekends.
- DSW or equivalent preferred
- Current NCVI certificate
- Current emergency first aid and CPR
- Reliable transportation and a Driver’s license
- French language proficiency would be an asset
