E3 Community Services Inc. is a multi-service agency offering a broad array of supports for children, and adults with developmental disabilities. The agency also provides programs to the broader community such as Day Care and EarlyON, as well as services such as ReUse Centre and Oasis by the Bay Vacation Suites.
Are you who we are looking for?
We are looking for passionate youth to work as Direct Support Professionals to assist individuals with developmental disabilities to find a satisfying and purposeful place in their community. In this role, you will provide supervision and support, as needed, in order to foster community inclusion, assist with activities of daily living, promote the implementation of person-centred (directed) plans, and assist with aspects of personal care.
Our schedules include a rotation of weekdays and alternating weekends.
Positions are available for 8 weeks, working 35 hours per week beginning in May 2021.
Work location and shift rotation is subject to change based on program and individual needs. Shifts will include statutory holidays as needed.
Positions are available for youth between the ages of 15 and 30 to work as full time, Direct Support Professionals in our residential program. This opportunity is provided through the Canada Summer Jobs Program which runs from end of April 2021 until the end of February 2022.
Ideal candidates will have a keen interest in working with developmentally disabled individuals combined with education and experience in Developmental Services or a related field. A Human Service Diploma (DSW, SSW) or equivalent is a preferred qualification, as are First Aid/CPR and Non-Violent Crisis Intervention certifications. Training is provided through E3 if certifications are not already completed. French language proficiency (speaking and reading) would be an asset.

- a Canadian Citizen, permanent resident, or person on whom refugee protection has been conferred under the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act*; and
- legally entitled to work according to the relevant provincial / territorial legislation and regulations.
**Please note that all successful candidates will be asked to have a negative covid-19 test within two weeks prior to their start date. If hired you will be thoroughly trained in our agency covid protocols and procedures before starting work.
