E3 Community Services Inc. is a multi-service agency offering a broad array of supports for children, and adults with developmental disabilities. The agency also provides programs to the broader community such as Tots ‘n’ Tykes Day Care and EarlyON, as well as services such as ReUse Centre and Oasis by the Bay Vacation Suites.
Casual position we are currently looking to fill:
The Housekeeper/Cleaner is a key member of the Oasis team who aims to keep our guest suites looking their absolute best. The suites need to be cleaned to a high standard and stocked with all supplies for our guests. There may be times when deeper cleaning is also required. The Housekeeper/Cleaner will also assist with laundry and work as a team member with other motel staff to provide excellent service while adhering to policies. Must follow respiratory illness protocols as required.
What will you be doing?
The Housekeeper/Cleaner will be responsible for cleaning guest suites to a high standard including: removal of garbage, linens and towels from the suite; cleaning the suite including washing dishes, vacuuming, cleaning appliances, sweeping, cleaning bathrooms, making beds with fresh linens and clean towels in bathrooms; replacing all supplies with new paper towels, toiletries, tissues, coffee etc. Completes laundry as needed. Must follow respiratory illness protocols for enhanced cleaning.
This position is Casual, meaning that there is no set schedule. There is a requirement to work varied hours and days during the week including weekends, evenings and days. Shifts will include statutory holidays as needed. This Casual role will work seasonally from approximately May until September 2024.
The ideal candidate will meet the following educational requirements:
- Completed grade 12 or higher
- Basic knowledge of cleaning supplies and equipment
- Physical stamina to stand throughout shift
- Meticulous attention to detail
- Time management skills
- Able to follow instruction
