The ReUse Centre began operating in 1995 and has evolved into the local go-to destination for finding those one-of-a-kind, unique items in Collingwood and South Georgian Bay! The ReUse Centre accepts donations of unique items and one-of-a-kind treasures that are in quality, salable condition including furniture, antiques, electronics, unique gifts, books, games, and many other household accessories. It’s a valuable social enterprise that helps fund E3’s programs and services, providing employment and learning skill opportunities for clients and a source of community connection.
After the unforeseen loss of the lease at the previous location, we began searching for a new location for the ReUse Centre that would still be an accessible, community-centred location within the Town of Collingwood to continue to keep this essential community service open to the public.
Below are some of the types of items you can expect to find at the Reuse Centre. Our inventory changes daily so be sure to check in often.
On July 2, 2021, the new location of the ReUse Centre at 20 Balsam Street, Unit 14 officially opened and we were thrilled to see so many familiar faces on our re-opening day!
Our current store hours are:
9am-5pm Monday-Tuesday
closed Wednesdays (open for donations by appointment)
9am-5pm Thursday-Saturday
closed Sundays
Meanwhile, we are continuing to accept donations of quality items to increase our inventory. Specifically, we’re accepting small all wood furniture (such as side tables), all wood dressers, small dining sets (2 person, café style), sets of dishes, décor items, books, and records.
We’re asking that you please call ahead at 705-444-0875 to book a donation drop-off time.
