At E3 Community Services, our mission is to educate, enable, and empower individuals, staff, and the community. Our 2018-2021 Strategic Plan is a roadmap designed to strengthen leadership, enhance oversight, and optimize Board management. Through a collaborative and forward-thinking approach, we are building a more inclusive and supportive community for all.

1. Leadership: Strengthening Our Impact
Desired Outcome: Empowered leadership that advances our mission and advocates for those we support.
Key Goals:
- Promotion & Outreach: Increase awareness through social media, community events, and media engagement.
- Advocacy: Address key issues affecting individuals, families, and staff by working closely with the Ministry of Community and Social Services and other organizations.
- Mission Fulfillment: Expand inclusion opportunities and services to better support those on waiting lists.
- Succession Planning: Ensure leadership continuity by preparing for future management transitions.
- Membership Engagement: Strengthen grassroots support by increasing membership participation.
2. Oversight: Responsible Stewardship
Desired Outcome: Fiscal responsibility and effective management reporting to sustain our services.
Key Goals:
- Financial Management: Maintain sustainability by developing policies for surplus funds and staff training support.
- Management Reporting: Provide transparent reporting structures for Board oversight and decision-making.
- Services & Staffing: Enhance service offerings and ensure professional development opportunities for staff.
3. Managing the Board: Strengthening Governance
Desired Outcome: A well-prepared, diverse, and efficient Board that represents our community.
Key Goals:
- Orientation & Training: Provide ongoing education and resources for Board members.
- Board Composition: Reflect the diversity of our community, including consideration of a dedicated position for an individual supported by E3.
- Bylaws & Policies: Maintain clear governance policies that support effective leadership.
- Board Structure: Optimize roles and responsibilities for greater efficiency and strategic oversight.
Implementation & Accountability
To ensure success, the Board will monitor progress regularly, integrating updates into meeting agendas and adjusting strategies as needed. This commitment to continuous improvement guarantees that our strategic goals remain at the forefront of our work.
